Non-Human Primate Test

Non-Human Primate Toxicology
Non-human primate toxicology test is to use non-human primate that has the least interspecies difference with human, and assess toxicity by injecting the test substance single or multiple times. The collected data is used as the most credible data in predicting the result of clinical test.
The characteristics of this test is because the ultimate target of the test is human, primates that are most similar to human anatomically and physiologically can provide most proper data to the extrapolation study of human. Especially, the recent life engineered products use toxicity test using primates as the data obtained from rodent test cannot predict the symptom in clinical trial.
Field of Test

We conduct toxicity test as below in accordance with domestic and overseas GLP Guideline regarding the toxicity assessment of various chemicals such as existing and new drug, agricultural pesticide and chemicals.
Single Dose Toxicity Test
- Assess the toxicity of test substance via acute toxicity change data by observing the general symptom and measuring weight, autopsy after injecting the test substance to the primate single dose.
Repeated Dose Toxicity Test
- Assess toxicity by drawing up the NOAEL, target organ and dose-toxicity reaction relation by checking general symptom, weight, feed intake, water intake, ECG and conducting visual check, hematological and blood biochemical test, urine test, autopsy, organ weight measurement, histopathological test and toxicity behavior analysis after repeatedly injecting test substance to non-human primate.
- Inject the test substance during long term breeding including sampling specimen such as blood, urine and tissue and provide the specimen to apprehend the internal toxicity information of test substance's toxicokinetics (In case of client's inquiry, specimen is sent for analysis). Also, it is possible to conduct repetitive screening by long-term breeding monkey.
Continuous Administration Test using Infusion Pump without anesthesia
- It is possible to repeatedly infusion inject in vein maximum 1 hour a day in the restrained condition without anesthesia
