Korea Institute of Toxicology Gyeongnam Branch Institute was founded in 2012 under the purpose of resolving difficulty of domestic chemical industry in accordance with reinforcement of international environmental regulation and enhance the support to new medicine development. Gyeongnam Branch Institute is a regional-hub local organization specializing in environmental toxicology, and built GLP system in the field of environmental risk test first in Korea.
Especially, we play the role of supporting domestic chemical business to respond to domestic and overseas chemical regulation such as ARECS(Act on registration and evaluation, etc. of chemical substances) and EU-REACH(Chemical regulation system in EU).
Gyeongnam Branch Institute conducts integrated research on risk and hazard assessment research in accordance with chemical exposure in the facilities such as Ecotoxicology Laboratory building and Environmental Risk Assessment Research building. Also, we obtained GLP certificate for agricultural pesticide residue test, and conduct metabolic test on soil and crops using radioactive isotope.
