At the center of Hightech Industrial Park, Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do, there is the Jeonbuk Branch Institute of Korea Institute of Toxicology, the government-funded research institute in the field of science technology.
Korea Institute of Toxicology Jeonbuk Branch Institute has been strategically installed to conduct inhalation toxicology research and toxicology research using medium and large size laboratory animals such as non-human primate and mini-pig.
By building Inhalation Research building in 2008, GLP-compliant Test building for non-human primate research in 2010, Mini-Pig Test Laboratory building in 2016, it is now a toxicology research infrastructure that conducts more than 180 researches every year.
Based on the advanced facility, Jeonbuk Branch Institute is known as the major infrastructure of domestic bio industry that enables major toxicology test research from general toxicity test to organ toxicology and carcinogenicity test, non-human primate and mini-pig test, inhalation toxicology test and animal model development.
